GAIA PILATES ROMA was founded in 2007 with the name ‘ Elephant Pilates Studio’, in Via Giulia 4, in the ‘Salus Per Aquam’ spa’s beautiful setting.
Three years later Gaia opened a satellite summer studio by the sea in Ansedonia, few minutes walking from the gorgeous Tyrrhenian Sea shores.
In 2014 Gaia moved the town studio from via Giulia to the actual location, in Largo Cristina di Svezia,17 Trastevere, beside the Botanical Garden.

A native of Arizona, Marisella lived and worked as a model in New York City for seven years before moving to Rome in 2012. She discovered Pilates while searching for relief from persistent and painful sciatica and fell in love. Hoping to help others find the relief and strength that Pilates gave her, she completed her teacher certification from Core Pilates NYC in April 2014. Since then Pilates has helped her to get through many other physical challenges and her belief in the system continues to grow. She also received her 200 hour certification to teach yoga in March 2016. She teaches Privates, duets and mat at Gaia Pilates Roma.
